That may look quite little but during those times, it meant something big. Afterwards, the company started selling most of its cars at standard prices and thus more people begun buying the cars. This increased the sales up to five times than what the company originally had. This seemed to be a big achievement and thus more progress was to be expected from them.

In 1917, Chevrolet was now legally owned by General Motors and some years later, competition grew stiffer as Ford and Dodge were some of the successful car manufacturing companies during that time. Just as you’ve guessed it, Chevrolet was forced to step up and make itself stand out from the rest. It thus went back to the drawing board and started coming up with new models and styles that would make it look like “a car of its own league.” You really can’t say that they came up with some of the models that we see nowadays but during that time, they must have been really classy. They managed to make car models that had resembled their competitors’ i.e. Ford and Dodge. This went on until they produced another model in 1925 called Superior. This model was slightly different from the others and at that time, it was going for only $650. More people now bought cars from Chevrolet and it was the first time that Chevrolet did better than Ford, even though Ford was also making newer models which were different from what they have been making.
